SXS were approached by Naiem Khan, who is a leading Event Producer that caters specifically for Asian events in the UK.
Mr Khan was booked to provide complete production and approached SXS for assistance with catwalk and drapery on ICICI's Summer Party at the impressive Lawerence Hall, Royal Horticultural Halls.
As with many projects, SXS were required to provide specific parts of the production and work alongside other companies. The following were provided by SXS.
Drapery
SXS sister operation Shreyas Decor provide a large quantity of white gathered trevera drapes.
This is a reasonably normal service however for this event new "monster drapes" were trialed.
Typically drapes are of reasonably small sizes and many used to cover a large area. However, this process requires velcro or kimble pins for attachment which always results in a less finished effect. SXS have recently introduced "monster drapes".
These are drapes that are so large that almost no artificial joins are required. In this case several 20m wide drapes were utilised.
The effect is stunning as the gathering is absolutely seamless, as are joins at the top.
Lighting
Having worked on many large-scale architectural lighting projects SXS was the ideal company for the venue illumination required.
The client's corporate colours and logos are a key part to the brand awareness at their events. We made the brand more visible at the venue by utilising some powerful Mac 2000 moving head fixtures with custom gobos.

A powerful and dominant colour flood of the venue was also required. For this we utilised a total of twelve Studio Duo City Colour 2500 floods. These are flood usually used for outdoor lighting.
Indoors they are also excellent. Their colour-changing capabilities enable the lighting team to keep even the most specific client happy.
Stage
The brief was to provide a large performance catwalk where Bollywood legends past and present would perform to guests. The space was also to be used for speeches and presentation.
For this purpose we provide a large steeldeck catwalk system with treads constructed from steeldeck also due to the large stepped area required.
