SXS on a European tour
SXS were invited to provide major elements of technical production to “Mohanlil’s Daily Delight Show 2008”.
Mohanlil is a big-name Actor and Producer from India and the show was to give quality entertainment to the Indian and Pakistani communities throughout the UK and Europe.
Despite SXS producing over 300 events a year in the UK, this was to be team’s first International tour.
SXS Provided
SXS were charged with the job of providing the rigging, lighting, pyro, video and transportation for the tour.
The tour featured dates in Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Newcastle, London, Switzerland, Ireland, Germany and Austria.
The show had a mixture of different styles of performances, so versatility was key.
As such a large moving light rig was provided featuring sixteen Robe 575AT and 700AT fixtures. In addition, 48 PAR cans were used for catwalk flood.
Video
Video consisted of SXS’ latest investment of a Sanyo XF45 10k lumen projector. This was used to project onto a 6m wide cyc screen.
Management
While consideration was given to the idea of sourcing local services in the European countries, the team decided that a tour of the same rig would be better.
As such a team of SXS technicians travelling between all ten events with a truck following closely behind.
The tour was a massive success and the SXS team’s international and open-minded approach position them well for more international events.
In particular, the team felt that they could offer an excellent service to tours coming to the UK.
